Who do I work with
I work with adults, couples, healthcare and education professionals, leaders and executives, doctoral and graduate students, helping professionals, and individuals navigating periods of transition, stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, relationship challenges, trauma, loss, and questions of meaning and purpose. I am particularly drawn to working with people who carry significant responsibilities in their personal or professional lives and who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that shape their experiences.

How I work
My approach is person-centered, relational, and integrative. I believe that meaningful change occurs through genuine connection and collaborative exploration. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I seek to understand the broader context of a person’s life, including their relationships, values, identity, culture, work, spirituality, and life experiences. Drawing from approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, and other relational and experiential frameworks, I tailor therapy to the unique needs and goals of each client.

How therapy with me feels
Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, thoughtful, and genuine. Therapy with me is conversational, reflective, and intentional. I strive to create a space where people feel seen, understood, and challenged in ways that support growth without judgment. Whether we are working through a specific concern or exploring deeper patterns that have developed over time, I aim to help clients cultivate greater self-awareness, presence, resilience, connection, and engagement in their lives and relationships.

In addition to my clinical work, I am an Associate Chair of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University and the originator of novel approaches to well-being, including the “Healthy Unbalance” and the “A Bit More Okay” frameworks, as well as the Theory of Relational Engagement, a framework that examines how individuals and systems enter, sustain, rupture, and repair relational experience. My clinical, academic, and research work is grounded in a shared commitment to understanding how people heal, grow, and thrive through connection.

Training
Outside of therapy, I enjoy browsing used book stores, checking out new coffee shops and hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and spending time exploring hidden trails and other outdoor treasures. I love learning and both reading and writing. And I love spending time with my three daughters and our pugapoo, Lucy.
